Unemployment Compensation Policy

In compliance with state and federal laws, BYU provides an unemployment compensation program. Generally, employees who are students or student spouses are not covered by the program.

The unemployment compensation program is administered by the Utah Department of Workforce Services and coordinated on campus by BYU Employee Relations.

Campus departments receiving inquiries or forms from Workforce Services should refer them to BYU Employee Relations.

University personnel who become unemployed can apply for unemployment compensation at Workforce Services or online at http://jobs.utah.gov. Workforce Services determines eligibility and coverage.
