Brigham Young University seeks to promote a living environment for students that is consistent with the moral principles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and conducive to study and learning. Accordingly, the university has established its Residential Living Standards to assist students in adhering to the high ideals and principles of behavior expected at BYU. BYU students must adhere to the applicable Residential Living Standards, which are supported through BYU on-campus housing and BYU-contracted off-campus housing.
All single, undergraduate students who are not residing with their parents must live in university on-campus or university-contracted, sex-separated housing unless specifically excused in writing by the Off-Campus Housing Office. All students must also provide the current street address of their local residence (not a post office box). Students may update their address each semester or term using the Change Residential Address link.
